Round of 16 is set for the 2022 Qatar World Cup after Brazil and Switzerland were the last remaining teams on Friday 2 December 2022.
In the first match of the day, South Korea lost to Portugal, scoring 2–1. Both teams advanced to the knockout stage from Group H.
Uruguay scored two goals in a bittersweet victory against Ghana after failing to score enough goals to knock South Korea down from second place.
Cameroon beat Brazil 1–0, but failed to advance as the team failed to score enough points to change the Group G standings.
Switzerland became the last team to advance to the round of 16 after defeating Serbia 3-2.
