Chicago — A woman died Monday night after her motorcycle hit a pothole in the Near South Side, according to Chicago police.

The 54-year-old woman was thrown from her motorcycle and hit her head as she was driving west on the 2000 block of South Archer Avenue around 5 p.m., police said.
She was confirmed dead at the scene.
