Will the bears play on Thanksgiving? Here’s the rest of the team’s 2022 schedule


The Chicago Bears have played three of the last four Thanksgiving holidays, will Monsters of the Midway make it in time for the holidays?

This year the answer is no. Instead, the Bears will face the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

This year’s games include a match between the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions kicking off at 11:30 am. The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys have a tripleheader midterm game, while the New England Patriots face the Minnesota Vikings. At 7:20 p.m. at the game airing on NBC 5 Chicago.

The Bears played on Thanksgiving last year, beating the Lions 16-14 at Ford Field. In fact, they’ve beaten the Lions on Thanksgiving three of the last four seasons.

The Bears are currently on a four-game winning streak on Thanksgiving, defeating the Green Bay Packers in November 2015. His last loss of the holiday season came in 2014 when he lost 34-17 to the Lions.

The Bears are always 20-15-2 on holidays.

Coming into Sunday’s game, the Bears have lost 7 of their last 8 games to go 3-8 on the season.

They’re 1-5 so far, but they only have one road game left this season after Sunday’s game. It’s Week 17 against the aforementioned Lions at Ford Field on New Year’s Day.

Nov. 27 – New York Jets, Noon

December 4 – vs. Green Bay Packers, Noon

December 11 – Bye Week

December 18 – vs. Philadelphia Eagles, Noon

Dec. 24 – Noon vs. Buffalo Bills

January 1 – Detroit Lions, noon

January 8 – vs. Minnesota Vikings, TBD
