Arcola

Arcola Junior/Senior High School:

Veterans breakfast set for 8:30 a.m. Friday, to be followed by a schoolwide assembly at 10 a.m.

Atwood

Atwood-Hammond Grade School:

Ceremony set for 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Bement

Bement school district:

Assembly set at 2:30 p.m. today in Walsh Gym for students and family who have served in the military.

Catlin

Salt Fork High School:

Breakfast set for 9 a.m. Friday.

Salt Fork South Elementary, Junior High:

Program set for 1:30 p.m.

Cerro Gordo

Cerro Gordo school district:

Breakfast for veterans and community members set for 8:15 a.m. in high school cafeteria, followed by assembly at 9 a.m.

Champaign

High School of St. Thomas More:

Ceremony set for 10:15 a.m. Thursday in the cafeteria with COO Anthony Corapi, a retired Navy captain, as featured speaker.

American Legion Post 559:

Free resource fair and program set for noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the post, 704 N. Hickory St.

Parkland College:

Ceremony set for 11 a.m. in U building with Trustee James Voyles, an Army veteran who served in Vietnam, as guest speaker.

Champaign County Courthouse:

Ceremony presented by Champaign County Veterans Assistance Commission set for 3 p.m. Saturday at the veterans memorial in front of the courthouse in downtown Urbana.

Clinton

Clinton Elementary:

Ceremony set for 9 a.m. Friday.

Clinton Junior High:

Ceremony set for 10:15 a.m. Friday.

Danville

Danville High School:

“Salute to Veterans” concert set for 6 p.m. today in auditorium.

Middle East Conflict Memorial:

Ceremony sponsored by Vermilion County Veterans Association set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the memorial at the corner of Hazel and Williams streets, with Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden, an Army veteran, as featured speaker.

DeLand

Deland-Weldon High School:

Doughnuts and coffee to be served from 8:15 to 9 a.m., followed by a celebration open to veterans and active service personnel.

Farmer City

Blue Ridge schools:

Three assemblies set for Friday — 8:30 a.m. for grades 4-8 in Mansfield, 1 p.m. for grades K-3 at Moore Gym in Farmer City and 2:25 p.m. for grades 9-12 in the new gym at the high school in Farmer City.

Georgetown

Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School:

Coffee and doughnuts to be served at 8 a.m. Friday, to be followed by assembly at 10 a.m.

Gibson City

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School:

Breakfast set for 8:15 a.m. Friday in gym, to be followed by schoolwide assembly at 9 a.m.

Gifford

Gifford Grade School:

Ceremony set for 9 a.m. Friday.

Lovington

Lovington Elementary:

Breakfast set for 7:15 a.m. Friday in the gym, to be followed by 8:30 a.m. ceremony.

Mahomet-Seymour High School:

Ceremony set for 9 a.m. Friday.

Monticello

Monticello schools:

Breakfast set for 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Sievers Center, followed by a ceremony.

Courthouse Square:

Ceremony and parade set for 7 p.m. Saturday downtown.

Oakwood

Oakwood schools:

Students will be writing thank-you letters today; student council members will deliver them Friday to Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System in Danville.

Paxton

Paxton schools:

Ceremonies by Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School band set for 8:30 a.m. Friday at Clara Peterson Elementary and 10 a.m. in the high school gym for high school and junior high students and community members.

Rantoul

Broadmeadow Elementary:

Assembly set for 10:15 a.m. Friday.

Northview Elementary:

Breakfast set for 8 a.m. Friday, with ceremony to follow at 9:15 a.m.

Pleasant Acres Elementary:

Refreshments set for 1:20 p.m. Friday; assembly to follow from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m.

Savoy

Robert C. McCleary Municipal Center:

Ceremony sponsored by American Legion Post 1492 set for 11 a.m. Saturday at veterans memorial.

St. Joseph

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church:

Free community meal set for 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday.

St. Joseph Grade School:

Assembly set for 9:30 a.m. Friday.

St. Joseph-Ogden High School:

Ceremony set for 10 a.m. Friday, followed by greeting of veterans by students.

Tolono

Unity schools:

Thank-you notes written by students to be delivered to veterans.

Unity East Elementary:

Luncheon set for 12:05 p.m. Friday followed by veterans program at 1 p.m.

Unity West Elementary:

Breakfast for veterans and senior citizens to be served at 9 a.m. Friday.

Tuscola

Tuscola High School:

Assembly set for 9 a.m. Friday. Recognition of all veterans present.

Urbana

Urbana VFW Post 630:

Ceremony set for 11:45 a.m. Saturday in front of the post at 1303 E. Main St.

Villa Grove

Villa Grove schools:

Assembly and cookie reception set for 9 a.m. Friday in the high school gym.

Watseka

Watseka Junior/Senior High:
