Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Chicago police officials held a press conference Thursday afternoon ahead of the long Memorial Day weekend.
Earlier this week, Gov. JB Pritzker’s administration announced that it would be sending a new team of street activists to Chicago neighborhoods over Memorial Day weekend to support the city’s violence prevention efforts.
The press conference will begin at 1:30 p.m.
