Two children pulled from suburban Palatine Pond after falling into water, officials say


Officials in suburban Palatine say two boys have been rescued after falling into a pond on Wednesday afternoon.

Police and firefighters were called to a pond on Block 800 of West Panorama Drive around 3:31 p.m. to report a group of children who had fallen into the water, officials said.

When they arrived, they were able to pull two males out of the pond and both were taken to a hospital near Arlington Heights.

There was no immediate update on the condition of either child and an investigation is ongoing.
