The Italian stock exchange gains 2.4% and on the main list we find only Tenaris in the red (-1.3%). The most significant increases are those of A2A (+ 3.5%), Amplifon (+ 2.6%), Azimut (+ 2.7%), Banca Generali (+ 3.1%), Banca Mediolanum (+3, 4%), Banco Bpm (+ 5.1%), Bper (+ 4.5%), Campari (+ 2%), Enel (+ 3.2%), Fineco (+ 7.1%), Generali ( + 3.6%), Hera (+ 4.1%), Intesa Sanpaolo (+ 5.6%), Italgas (+ 2%), Iveco (+ 5.9%), Mediobanca (+ 2.5%) , Moncler (+ 2.5%), Nexi (+ 2.6%), Pirelli (+ 3.1%), Poste Italiane (+ 3.9%), Saipem (+ 3.9%), Telecom Italia ( + 2.4%), Unicredit (+ 3.5%) and Unipol (+ 2.4%). The dolar / dollar exchange rate rises towards 1.05, while the spread between the BTP and the Bund falls below 220 basis points.
LOTS OF DATA FROM THE USA FOR PIAZZA AFFARI
There is no shortage of relevant macroeconomic data being released today, at the end of which the decisions taken by the Fed’s FOMC will be known. At 8:45 am we will know the French inflation in May. At 10:30 the Bank of Italy will provide the usual monthly update on the level of public debt reached. At 2.30pm from the US, May retail sales, May import price index and June Empire State Index will arrive. At 16:00 it will be the turn of industrial stocks in April and the NAHB Index in June. At 16.30 the weekly change in US oil stocks will be known. At 20:00 the decisions of the American central bank will be announced and half an hour later the usual Jerome Powell press conference will be held. The Italia Independent quarterly is expected at Piazza Affari.
Yesterday the Ftse Mib closed down 0.32% to 21,846 points. On the main list, Banca Mediolanum stood out with a + 4%. The increases of Azimut (+ 1.3%), Banca Generali (+ 2.3%), Banco Bpm (+ 1.2%), Bper (+ 0.7%), Eni (+ 1.5%), Intesa Sanpaolo (+ 0.6%), Mediobanca (+ 0.9%), Poste Italiane (+ 3.1%), Telecom Italia (+ 0.8%) and Unicredit (+2, 4%). Campari did the worst of all with a -4.2%. The reductions of A2A (-3.4%), Amplifon (-2.4%), Diasorin (-2.9%), Enel (-1%), Exor (-1.3%) are also higher than one percentage point , Ferrari (-2.1%), Hera (-2.5%), Inwit (-3.3%), Moncler (-2.7%), Nexi (-2.7%), Pirelli (-1 , 3%), Snam (-1.5%) and Terna (-2.7%). The spread between BTP and Bund has risen above 249 basis points.
