“Now I can tell you the truth. Shortly before starting the tour I was diagnosed with a vocal cord nodule. Which – to be clear – is like for a footballer having to face the championship with a damaged tendon. I’ll have to undergo an operation, there will be a lot to recover… but it doesn’t matter. The only thing I need to say – and I want you to know – is that I would have died on that stage rather than give up and not give my all in every single city». Four days after the end of his “TNZ 2023” tour, which touched 14 Italian cities, Tiziano Ferro in a tweet confides to his fans that he has a nodule in a vocal cord. He is therefore waiting for an operation and then a period of rest.
«I admit it, I have often been terrified that my voice would suddenly collapse during a concert – explained the singer –. The doctors said it could happen, they invited me to stay still and operate immediately. But they didn’t know one thing that I already had clear in my head. Meaning that every night, on that stage, I would receive the most powerful cure in the world. Because you were there.”
Fans who follow him on the web and others who fill the stadiums: the «TNZ 2023» tour has just ended with 570 thousand spectators, which saw Tiziano Ferro return to the Italian stages 6 years after his last live. Spectators were able to listen to the songs that marked Ferro’s 20-year career (from Xdono to Sere nere, passing through E Raffaella è mia to Lo Stadio, to name a few) but also hear the songs live for the first time latest album Il Mondo è nostro.
The one prepared by Ferro was an essential and, at the same time, exciting show at the center of which there has always been only the music (“because it’s the songs that make a concert”) with a lineup of 33 songs in which they find space all 9 albums by the Latina singer-songwriter released from 2001 to today. Many duets with great artists. Among these Carmen Consoli at San Siro (for the first time live in a stadium of Il Conforto), Max Pezzali, Tananai, Federico Zampaglione, Jovanotti, Angelina Mango, Paola and Chiara.
