The Arizona Department of Gaming will open applications for event betting licenses

PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Gaming announced Friday that it will begin accepting applications for event betting licenses.

Beginning in August, ADG will accept applications for one Arizona Tribal Event Betting License and two Arizona Sports Franchise Event Betting Licenses, according to a press release.

The application window is August 1-15, and applicants must submit their applications within that period to be considered for a license. Qualification the determination will be announced to shortlisted candidates Aug. 29, according to ADG.

ADG said it will post updated application forms and guidelines on its website on July 14.

The department will also host an informational webinar on July 17 for prospective applicants. The webinar will cover key aspects of the application process, provide clarifications and answer questions from potential candidates.
