Suspect arrested for allegedly shooting teen campaigning for Raphael Warnock

A man in Georgia has been arrested on suspicion of firing a gun at a volunteer teenager through his front door. Senator Raphael Warnock’s Campaignhit the boy in the leg, police said.

Police said the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Savannah, when the 15-year-old boy was campaigning for Warnock’s upcoming runoff.

The suspect, who was “quickly identified” as 42-year-old Jimmy Pies, allegedly opened fire through a closed front door and attacked a teenager. Although there were no other symptoms, he received treatment.
