Chicago (WLS) — The director of the funeral home whose van containing the bodies was stolen over the weekend is on probation, records show.
Brandy Collins of Collins & Stone Funeral Home is on probation for unprofessional conduct and failure to account for personal property.
Rockford police said the van and the body were both found in Chicago but had been separated by nearly a day.
The van was stolen Saturday along with a man who died in the cargo area, police said.
The van was found around 5:30 pm on Sunday near the border of Avalon Park and Calumet Heights, 1400 blocks on East 87th Street in Chicago. Rockford Police said the body was in a bag, not a coffin, but is missing.

Police have now released photos of the person believed to have stolen the van. The man can be seen on the phone wearing white gloves and a hooded jacket.
A spokesman for the Rockford Police Department said the families of the deceased individuals have been notified.
It is not yet clear how the vehicle was stolen from the funeral home. The funeral home did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
