RANTOUL — Close to 100 members of the Rantoul Township High School Class of 1973 are expected to turn out for this weekend’s 50-year reunion.

The two days of activities started with a class float in the school’s homecoming parade Friday afternoon.

Later that evening, they visited The Fringe for some miniature golf and cocktails. Everyone had name tags with copies of their graduating picture and name.

This evening, the alums will gather at the Knights of Columbus hall for a social hour and a dinner catered by ET’s Downtown Rantoul. Members of other classes are welcome to stop by after the meal.

Co-organizer Renee Rewerts said there will be plenty of ‘60s and ‘70s music played, just like back in the day when all the kids listened to WLS.

Other members of the organizing committee are Connie Early, Debbie Hall, Cathy Quick, Chris Kaler and Christy Ihmen, all of Rantoul.
