More than 400 pupils at Pugliese West Elementary School celebrated International Dot Day Sept. 15. Third-grade teacher Marci Govey was inspired by the book “The Dot,” which embraces creativity and uniqueness. The event has been done for five years, where children dress up, enjoy treats, do artwork and STEM activities, eat ice cream and “make their mark” with a special mural. Taking part in the celebration were from left, front, Dylan Osaba, Jolie Hutton, Addison Leak and Archer Conrad; and back, Lily Bennette, Isabella Mamula, Keontae Weaver and Gemma Burke-Reed.
