Haltom City, Texas (CP) Incredible footage released by the Haltom City Police Department shows the moment officers encountered a heavily armed man wearing tactical gear and carrying an AR15 rifle. The officers were shot multiple times but fortunately will all survive. Unfortunately two adult civilians were killed.
So let’s for a moment think of how this scenario could’ve been different. Say there was only two officers on the scene, they both are wounded and down. Armed suspect flees, kicks open your back door and you only have a coffee mug to throw at them. This is a situation where you’d kind of like to have a firearm of your own right? I understand not all of us have the same upbringing or education, but it doesn’t take that high of an IQ to agree that defending yourself and your family against an attack by firearm is in fact arming yourself with one.

Just checked the safe for my AR-15 , thank God it’s still there , I was worried it escaped and went on a shooting spree.
Video shows ‘ambush’ shooting of Haltom City officers in neighborhood; 3 Haltom City police officers hurt in shooting
Newly released video shows the moment three police officers were shot in the Fort Worth suburb of Haltom City. All three are expected to be okay. Police said the man killed two other people and then himself.

Perfect example for why officers need GREAT equipment, training and support from their superiors(i.e. not being armchair quarterbacked). Not to mention appreciation from citizens.
