Park Ridge, IL (WLS) — Park Ridge’s iconic Pickwick Theater is scheduled to close in early January.
Co-owner Dino Vlahakis said it plans to close in early January. He said he hopes someone will take over the operation of the movie theater so he can lease the building and continue to operate.
So far, there are no plans for someone else to take over. Vlahakis said there are still plans to retain ownership of the building.
The last film to be screened at Pickwick is Gone with the Wind, which was also the first to be released in 1967.
