Australian football legend Mark Schwarzer admits that Australia is not what it used to be and that this gives Peru an edge.
“We are against it and I think we are oppressed. It’s going to be a hellish war, but we’re not kicking ourselves. We’re not at the levels we used to be, Schwarzer told Optus Sport.
Peru’s captain, Pedro Gallese, called it “the match of our lives” as he entered the game as his only game-winning team the two sides had faced before – a 2-0 win in Russia 2018.
