Los Angeles – A performer at Universal Studios Hollywood was taken to hospital Monday afternoon after a reported stunt accident.
According to a spokesperson for Universal Studios Hollywood, it happened during an afternoon performance.
Initial reports indicated a possible drowning.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the man required CPR when he arrived.
An amusement park spokeswoman said, “Our thoughts are with him as he receives treatment. “Details regarding the event are being worked out.”
A witness who spoke to our sister station, KABC, said all was revealed during the Waterworld performance. He said a performer was in one of the towers and fell into the water as part of the act.
Witnesses said other workers noticed him missing and went into the water to retrieve him.
In a video obtained by KABC, several people are seen pulling the performers into the backstage area.
Witnesses said the show was abruptly canceled and guests were escorted.
The condition of the performer is unknown.
