The body camera footage of the attack by Paul Pelosi at his home in San Francisco was released on Friday – the first time the public has been able to witness the home invasion that left the former House Speaker’s 82-year-old husband with a fractured skull.

The graphic video shows the moment Pelosi was beaten by alleged assailant David DePape, 42, on Oct. 28, 2022, at Pelosi’s Pacific Heights home.

The series of video releases show the officers arriving at the house, the attack and arrest of the suspect, and other scenes outside the house in which DePape is seen patrolling and then entering the House Speaker’s home, although Nancy Pelosi he was in Washington, DC at the time of the attack.

The scene opens with DePape, in cargo shorts and a jacket, opening the door of the Pelosi home for a San Francisco police officer. DePape grabbed Pelosi’s right hand under his arm. Pelosi looks confused.

“Hey how’s it going?” DePape told police.

Looking disoriented, Pelosi stands next to him, wearing a blue button-down shirt and black boxers.

Something blows up DePape.

Even though a police officer is standing at the door, DePape takes a hammer in his right hand and begins beating Pelosi, escaping through the front door and into a hallway. Much of the hard feelings don’t show on camera.

But an officer is heard saying, “Oh shit.”
