CHAMPAIGN — A section of Champaign County Road 1400 North (Windsor Road) on the far southwestern edge of Champaign will be closed starting Monday for a bridge reconstruction, according to the Champaign County Highway Department.

The section between 600 East (Barker Road) and 700 East (Rising Road) will be closed until the project is completed.

The work — involving the removal of the current bridge and replacement with a new bridge — should be done by the end of November, according to the highway department.

Local property owners in the construction area will have access to their property.
