There is one big change this winter.of Tinley Park Fishing, Travel and Outdoor Expo will debut at the Tinley Park Convention Center on February 17-19. It fills the hole left by a family favorite, the Tinley Park Fishing Show at Tinley Park High School.

Show Manager Clyde Sana, who also manages the Fish & Hook Sports Show at Lockport, has big plans for the Tinley Park Show, which includes Midwest Outdoors as a co-sponsor.

“It’s a leap of faith,” he said. “We’re trying to have a bigger show in the South and Southwest.”

Although it was only officially announced in early November, there are already exhibitors from all over the country, and one exhibitor is lined up. They are working on the maker.

“We want to get out-of-town people coming from far away, not just upstate Illinois,” Sana said.

He will donate a portion of the proceeds to Shriners Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

“Building something for the future, that’s what this project is about,” he said.
