National City, California (CP) The male driver of the white truck was northbound on Highland Ave and was making a left-hand turn onto westbound 24th St. The male pedestrian had just entered the crosswalk when he was struck. The victim was deceased immediately. The driver has stayed and is cooperating with the investigation. DUI is not considered to be a factor in this accident.
