Electoral hijinks are nothing new in Chicago politics, and just as the ballot for next year’s election is coming together, a trio of feuds has emerged to remind us that time is a flat circle.
In the mayor’s race, a simmering feud between candidate Ja’Mal Green and Willie Wilson adviser Ricky Hendon was reignited. In late 2018, Green and Hendon had a war of words after Hendon challenged Green’s petition for the 2019 election. Green eventually dropped out of the race, blaming the fight, while Wilson finished fourth.
