Montgomery man charged with attempted murder after stabbing at downtown Aurora bar

A Montgomery man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing at a bar in downtown Aurora on Friday night, police said.

Patrick Lelette, 26, who lives on the 100 block of Sherman Avenue, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery with bodily harm, aggravated battery with lethal weapons, aggravated battery with public property, and all felonies. Aurora Police announced on Sunday morning. news release.

Police responded to reports that someone was stabbed inside a store on the 100 block of West Downer Place shortly before 8 pm on Friday, officials said.

A man with apparent stab wounds was found inside the bar and taken to a local hospital. Police say he is in stable condition.

Police saw Lerlet outside the facility and witnesses identified him as the culprit, officials said. Police also said they recovered a knife at the scene.

No other injuries were reported during this incident.
