Meyer Announces Recall of Two Brands of Dark Chocolate Almonds for Non-Declaration of Milk

Two different brands of dark chocolate almonds have been recalled. Published by Meyer It was later discovered that almonds may contain undeclared milk.

Individuals with allergies or severe hypersensitivity to cow’s milk may experience a severe allergic reaction when consuming the product.

The recall applies to 12-ounce packages of Frederick’s Dark Chocolate Almonds and 7.5-ounce “Go Cup” packages of Meyer’s Express Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds.

Meyer said the products are available in stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Wisconsin. All date codes for both products are affected by the recall, according to a Meijer statement.

In a statement, Meyer confirmed that it has not received any customer complaints or reports of illness related to the recall.
