Man’s body found in Bridgeport’s Chicago River, police say

A body was found in the Chicago River in Bridgeport on Wednesday afternoon.

Chicago Police Department Marines responded to a call about a floating body on the 2800 block of South Eleanor Street around 4 p.m., police said.

Police said Marines recovered the man’s body. His age was unknown.

No other details have been made public. An Area One detective was investigating.
