Manhattan DA says attempts to intimidate office will not be tolerated after Trump protest call

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg tried to reassure his staff in an internal message on Saturday that threats and intimidation against them will not be tolerated. It came when I called him to investigate former President Donald Trump, who said he was supporters protesting.

“Please know that your safety is our number one priority,” Bragg said in a memo to office staff obtained by NBC News from a senior Manhattan DA office official.

The Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee has released six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns. It contains approximately 6,000 pages of personal and business tax records.

“We will not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York,” he added.
