Man shot dead in car at Austin gas station


A man was shot dead Thursday night inside a gas station in Austin on the West Side.

A 27-year-old man was in the driver’s seat of a gas station at 300 South Cicero Avenue around 8:45 p.m. when two men approached him and opened fire, according to Chicago police.

The man was shot in the chest and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been reported.
