A man was found shot dead in Chatham on the South Side on Wednesday night.
Around 6:10 p.m., officers answered a call from someone who had been shot at 900 East 81st Street and found a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
