Lincoln Park shooting, robbery victim Dakotah Earley tests out new prosthetic leg

Chicago (WLS) — A man who was shot while his cell phone was stolen on the streets of Lincoln Park in May is now walking with a prosthetic leg.

Dakota Early was shot multiple times, aiming at her cell phone, while walking near Wayne and Webster Avenues.

Early has had several surgeries and even lost part of his leg after an attack.

His mother tweeted a video Tuesday night of Earley testing out his new prosthesis. She said she is overjoyed with his progress so far.
