Two men were found dead, shot minutes apart, in North Lawndale and New City on the West and South sides.
A man was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen around 6:05 a.m. in an alleyway at 1600 South Homan Avenue, Chicago police said.
Police said the man, believed to be in his 20s and 30s, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died.
Minutes later, a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head was found at Block 4500 on South Wolcott Avenue.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
In both cases no one was taken into custody.
