Hire Trans Now program looks to tackle employment problems among trans Chicagoans


Hire Trans Now is an initiative of the Chicago Therapy Collective.

Chicagoans remembered Elise Malary, a trans activist who was killed earlier this year, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, or Transgender Day of Resilience, as some activists call it. In honor of her, Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s office pledged to participate in the Chicago Therapy Collective’s Hire Trans Now initiative, created by Malary.
