CHICAGO — From Christmas trees to homemade wreaths, garden shops and more throughout Chicago are ready to meet all your holiday decor needs.

Block Club has compiled a list of places where you can find true city vacation foliage.

Andersonville

  • Garden of Gethsemane, 5739 N. Clark St., open 9am to 6pm daily. During the winter, the shop is jam-packed with poinsettias, which you can order online here. Gethsemane also offers custom wreaths, garlands, winter bulbs to plant, and kiln-dried firewood.
  • Jewel Oscan, 5516 N. Clark St., open 9am to 9pm daily.

Avondale

  • Home storage, 3500 N. Kimball Ave., open 6 am to 9 pm daily. Trees cost $60-$170 depending on size.

Back of the yards

  • Home Depot, 4555 S. Western Blvd., open 6 am to 9 pm daily. Trees cost $60-$170 depending on size.
  • Tree gift at the Tree Lighting Ceremony, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm December 6 at 4600 S. Damen Ave. In addition to the giveaway of the tree, kids can write letters to Santa and participate in family-friendly activities.

Beverly

  • Givins Beverly Castle, 10244 S. Longwood Drive, open 10am-4pm December 3-4 and December 10-11. The trees cost $85. The trees usually sell out quickly, but you can reserve one online here.

Bucktown

  • The old Viennese beef factory, 2501 N. Damen Ave., open 9:00am to 10:00pm daily. Trees start at $25, and you can purchase wreaths and garlands. Pets are welcome.

Burnside

  • Pete’s Tree Lot, 9380 S. Stony Island Ave., Open 9am to 9pm daily.

Edgebrook/Sauganash

  • Whole Foods, 6020 N. Cicero Ave., open daily 8:00am – 10:00pm.
  • Meinke Garden Center, 5803 W. Touhy Ave., open 8am to 7pm daily. If you are able to venture into the nearby suburb of Niles, you will find a large selection of Christmas trees, poinsettias and firewood.

Edgewater

  • Whole Foods, 6009 N. Broadway, open 8am to 10pm daily.

Forest valley

  • Poor Bob’s land of trees, 4855 W. Foster Ave., open 9am-8pm weekdays, 8am-8pm weekends. If you’re not willing to commit to an entire tree, you can purchase a tree wreath.

Fulton Market

  • Whole Foods, 1 N. Halsted St., Open 8am to 10pm daily.

Garfield Park

  • City Escape Garden and Design Center, 3022 W. Lake St., open 9am to 6pm daily. The center offers real and fake foliage, including trees, Christmas flowers, and outdoor arrangements.

Goose Island

  • Jack’s Winter Village, 1265 W. LeMoyne Ave. You can purchase a ticket to explore the Christmas Tree Farm here. Once you’ve secured the perfect tree, you can go ice skating, sledding or throwing axes while enjoying a Christmas-themed cocktail.

  • Home Depot, 1919 N. Cicero Ave., open 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. Trees cost $60-$170 depending on size.

Humboldt Park

  • Adams & Son & Daughter Gardens, 1057 N. California Ave., open 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday.
  • Christy Webber Farm and Garden, 2833 W. Chicago Ave., open 10:00-18:00 Wednesday through Monday and closed Tuesday. Trees cost $25-$300 depending on size.

Hyde Park

  • Whole Foods, 5118 S. Lake Park Ave., open 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.

Irving Park

  • Farmers Market Garden Center, 4110 N. Elston Ave., open 10:30am – 8pm weekdays, 9am – 7pm Saturdays, and 9am – 6pm Sundays. If you want to impress your family with an expertly decorated tree, but don’t want to do the work, the center will customize a tree for you for $279.

Jefferson Park

  • Mariano’s, 5353 N. Elston Ave., open daily 6am-10pm.

Lake view

  • Ivy’s Christmas trees, 1013 W. Roscoe St., open 10am-4pm weekdays, 10am-8pm Saturdays, and 10am-6pm Sundays. Trees cost $99-$450 depending on size. You can also shop for garlands, holiday vases, and wreaths.
  • Tuco & Blondie3358 N. Southport Ave., open 4-9pm weekdays and 9am-9pm weekends.
  • Nettlehorst School, 3252 N. Broadway, open 9am to 9pm daily. The staff replenish the selection of trees and wreaths daily, plus there’s a playground where kids can burn off some energy before picking a tree.
  • Jewel-Osco, 2940 N. Ashland Ave., Open daily 9am-9pm.
  • Whole Foods, 3201 N. Ashland Ave., open daily 8am-10pm.

Lincoln Park

  • Home Depot, 2655 N. Halsted St., Open 6am to 9pm daily. Trees cost $60-$170 depending on size.

Lincoln Square

Logano square

  • Chicago Christmas trees, 2429 W. Fullerton Ave., open 9am to 9pm daily. In addition to trees, you will find a large selection of Christmas wreaths and garlands.
  • Home Depot, 2570 N. Elston Ave., Open 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. Trees cost $60-$170 depending on size.

Near the north side/old town

  • Hard Rock Cafe, 63 W. Ontario St., open 9am to 9pm daily. Trees start at $25 and delivery services are available. Guests who purchase a tree and an aperitif at the bar will receive a cup of hot chocolate.
  • Chicago Christmas Tree Lot, 401 W. North Ave., open 9am to 9pm daily. Trees start at $25, and you can purchase wreaths and garlands. Pets are welcome.
  • Old Town Garden Center, 1556 N. Wells St., Open 9am to 7pm daily.
  • Whole Foods, 1550 N. Kingsbury St., open 8am to 10pm daily.

North Center

  • Chicago Christmas Trees, 1813 W. Montrose Ave., open 9am to 10pm daily. Trees start at $75. The store also offers wreaths, garlands, lights, and tree decorations. You can order online here.

Ukrainian village

  • Columbus Elementary Christmas Tree Sale1003 N. Leavitt St., open 10am-7pm December 7 and 10am-5pm December 8. The trees cost $75-$110 and are cheaper if you order online in advance here. Families can enjoy photos with Santa, holiday arts and crafts, and a bake sale.

West ridge

  • Home Depot, 6211 N. Lincoln Ave., open 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. Trees cost $60-$170 depending on size.

West City:

  • Sprout at home, 745 N. Damen Ave., open 11am-6pm daily. Trees cost $60-$120 depending on size. In addition to its selection of trees and wreaths, the shop offers festive mantles and winter scented candles. You can place orders online here.
  • Home Depot, 1232 W. North Ave., open 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. Trees cost $60-$170 depending on size.

Wicker Park

  • Big Star, 1531 N. Damen Ave., will have trees available for pickup if you order in advance online here. You can also choose to have the tree delivered directly to your home.
  • Lowe’s, 1360 N. Ashland Ave., open 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Trees cost $40-$290 depending on size.

wrigleyville
