Greyhound employee murder suspect arrested in Alabama


A Minnesota man was arrested last month in connection with the shooting of a Greyhound employee on the Near West Side.

Rodney Miller, 26, was taken into custody in Alabama on Monday and is awaiting extradition to Chicago, the police department said. David Brown said at a press conference:

An arrest warrant was issued for first-degree murder earlier this month for Miller. accused of shooting.

Gaddis, 30, was pronounced dead at Stroeger Hospital later that day, police and the Cook County coroner’s office said.

Detective Chief Brendan Dinihan said the attack was a “targeted” shooting and appeared to be gang related.

The no-bail warrant lists Miller’s address as being in Jackson, Minnesota.
