here are the details.

GALATONE – Flavio Filoni has been reconfirmed as mayor of Galatone. The outgoing mayor managed to be elected in the first round, beating the competition. An election that experienced moments of great uncertainty because the risk of being forced to resort to the ballot was very real.

Despite the large advantage over challenger number one, Annamaria Campa (stuck at 38.84%), Filoni had to wait for the last ballots before claiming victory by exceeding the fateful threshold of 50 percent plus one of the votes. The mayor closed with 50.46 percent of the vote.

More secluded Emanuela Settimo De Mitri who stopped at 7.9 and Sebastiano Zenobini who closed below 3 percent.

“It is a historic victory against patronage politics,” shouted the newly re-elected mayor Filoni. A Slavic success with the fireworks of his loyalists.
