Four injured, including two police officers in Lawndale crash

Two Chicago police officers and two others were injured Tuesday night after clashes in the Lawndale area.

At approximately 7:23 p.m., a marked CPD vehicle traveling west at the intersection of Harrison and California collided with a box truck traveling east of Harrison, officials said.

Police said the vehicle came to a halt after colliding with a car parked nearby.

Police said two officers were taken to a nearby hospital, both of whom were initially in good condition.

The box truck driver, identified as a 34-year-old man, and the 48-year-old passenger were both taken to a local hospital, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
