San Diego (CP) — A fire of unknown cause broke out in a small 4 apartment building. SDUSD (School) Police arrived first and went to see if anyone needed help and found the residents outside already.
Firefighters arrived to find moderate smoke coming from both the 1st & 2nd floors. Firefighters went inside and rescued one dog and found a second dog not breathing. The firefighters brought that dog outside and put an oxygen mask on the dog and started a chest massage (CPR for dogs).

A pulse came back, and the SDUSD officers then rushed the dog to a local veterinarian’s office. Its current status is unknown. the firefighters were able to put out the fire. It’s believed that all of the residents will be displaced. The MAST team is investigating.
