EAST PEORIA (25News Now) – A mobile home in East Peoria was destroyed after a fire Saturday morning.
In a statement, East Peoria Fire Chief Bobby Zimmerman said firefighters responded at 2:34 a.m. to the fire in the 1400 block of Meadow Avenue, near Dollar General and VFW Post 2078.
The resident was able to evacuate safely and no injuries were reported. However, the mobile home was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
