CALUMET CITY, Ill. – A man was found shot in a crashed car Calumet City Friday night.
Calumet City Police responded to an automobile accident on Sibley Boulevard and Superior Avenue at approximately 9:50 p.m.
Upon further investigation, police learned that the car involved in the crash was being investigated by a car theft task force not affiliated with the Calumet City PD.
The driver had been shot before the crash, according to police. Officials say the shooting did not occur in Calumet City.

The driver was arrested. No further information has been provided at this time.
