Chicago police are investigating the death of an unresponsive man who was found early Wednesday morning on Oak Street Beach on Lake Michigan.
A 21-year-old man was found unresponsive in nearly 1,000 blocks of water on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 1:55 a.m., officials said.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after.
Detectives are now calling the case a death investigation rather than a drowning, officials said. No further details were available.
Victims have not yet been identified.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
