CHICAGO – The call to action approved a new budget of nearly $2 billion for this year with a pleasant surprise for riders: no fare hikes.
In fact, the budget includes the agency’s discounted memberships with $5 day passes, $15 three-day passes, $20 seven-day passes, and $75 30-day passes.
The Chicago Transit Authority Board also approved a nearly $3.5 billion capital improvement program that will go to new and ongoing projects over the next five years.
