At 2:24 a.m. Sept. 24, Champaign police found two people injured by gunfire in the 200 block of North Neil Street, just south of the intersection with Main and Church streets.
An 18-year-old female from Fort Worth, Texas, had been shot in the foot, and a 25-year-old man from Donna, Texas, was shot in the leg.
Both were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, while a third victim, a 25-year-old man from Gary, Ind., who had been shot in the arm, arrived a little later in a personal vehicle.
All three continue to recover from their injuries.
Police said they were gathered on that block when a person fired into their group, then ran.
