Wine-focused restaurant chain Cooper’s Hawk is closing its only Chicago location. Crain’s Chicago Business.
Located in the former Esquire Theater in the city’s Gold Coast neighborhood, Esquire by Cooper’s Hawk is unlike any other Cooper’s Hawk, with a tasting room and three-story wine tower, boasting Chicago’s largest wine collection .
The restaurant, which first opened in 2019, is scheduled to close on July 17. Based in suburban Downers Grove, Cooper’s Hawk was founded in 2005 and says it was “founded on the belief that food and wine have the power to create lasting connections.” to that website.
Cooper’s Hawk operates a total of 14 stores in the Chicago area, including Gurnee, Morton Grove and Orlando Park.
