CHAMPAIGN — Donations of shoeboxes through Operation Christmas Child are being accepted at Champaign’s Meadowbrook Community Church.

People are asked to fill the shoeboxes with items ranging from school supplies to hygiene items to toys and clothing for needy children. They will be shipped to more than 100 countries.

Any shoebox can be used. Shoeboxes are also available at the church and will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Monday. Organizer Loretta Auvil will be at the church every day through Monday.
