Chicago police warn about a man robbing a woman in the Loop’s parking lot.
Police linked the two incidents to the robberies in a community alert issued Saturday night. However, CWB Chicago learned of a third robbery that occurred this week, but the victim left the scene without waiting for police after calling security.
The CPD alert said the perpetrators threatened to have guns and demanded property from the victims. But he was also violent.

At about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, a man beat and pepper sprayed a woman who was conducting a robbery inside a 200-block garage in West Washington, according to a Chicago police report reviewed by CWB Chicago. The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment.
After the robbery, someone tried to use one of her stolen credit cards near the state and Madison, but the transaction was declined.
Another woman was robbed Wednesday night in a parking lot directly across the street from Saturday’s crime.
She was on the 11th floor when robbers implied he had a gun, threatened to hurt her, and robbed her of her property, according to CPD’s Radio Traffic. Officers dispatched to the scene Wednesday said the woman completed an incident report with security and left before police arrived.
According to CPD records, the first robbery that police linked to the man occurred at 10:08 am on January 26 in a parking lot on Randolph Street, just east of State Street.
Police said the robber was a black man between the ages of 15 and 18, between 5’6″ and 5’8″ tall and weighing between 150 and 200 pounds. He wears a black and brown puffy coat.
