Willie Wilson ran for mayor in 2015 and 2019. He traveled the country as part of his long shot campaign for the 2016 presidential election, participating in polls in a handful of states. A native of Louisiana, Wilson left home with only a primary education and moved to Chicago, where he owned several McDonald’s franchises and started a medical supply company.
