Chicago man charged in stabbings that seriously wounded 2 on West Side

A man is accused of a double stab on New Year’s Day in Chicago Austin Neighborhood.

Quantiss Mitchell, 32, is accused of stabbing and seriously injuring two men, ages 27 and 32, at around 1:45 a.m. on the 5700 block of West Washington Boulevard, according to police.

Mitchell, of Homan Squarewas arrested Monday on the Near North Side, police said.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Mitchell is due in court Tuesday.
