Chicago cops shot at in Back of the Yards

Chicago police officers were shot while responding to a call Back of the yards Thursday night.

Officers were called to 4800 Black South Justine Street at approximately 10:31 p.m. with a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived they found a group of people standing outside and a man started shooting in the officer’s direction, police say.

The group came across a residence on black and the officers followed. Police say a thug dropped a gun in the corridor of an apartment as he fled.
