A Chicago police officer was arrested on a Florida beach Monday after peeing in a bar’s ice machine.
An employee at Jimmy B’s Bar in St. Pete Beach went to retrieve ice from an ice machine and found Chicago Police Department officer Henry Capuchin “peeing,” according to a Pinellas County police report. .
According to reports, when an employee asked the 30-year-old Capouch to stop, CPD officers began cursing him and repeatedly shoved him. According to police records, Capouch pushed a security guard.
Officers later found the Chicago officer on a beach, where he resisted arrest by screaming and disobeying police orders, according to police reports.
After being arrested at 1:14 a.m. Monday, Capouch was charged with simple battery and disorderly conduct and was released from prison after a total of 650 hours, according to Pinellas County court records.
On Wednesday, Chicago police said they had removed Capouch’s police powers pending an internal investigation. Police records show that he has worked in this department for five years.
