Chicago: Armed robberies reported in Wicker Park, Humboldt Park and Logan Square

Chicago police are investigating two armed robberies in Wicker Park and Humboldt Park Monday morning. Another robbery was reported in Logan Square on Sunday afternoon.

Police said Monday’s first robbery occurred around 4:15 a.m. at Block 1600 in North Marshfield. According to a CPD spokesperson, two men robbed a woman with firearms on display before fleeing in her blue Kia.

Then, around 5:39 a.m., a dark Kia car was used by three men to rob a 43-year-old man at Block 3400 in West Wavancia. Again, the criminals robbed victims on the street with firearms shown. The man’s wife saw the robbery taking place and left to call the police.

The officer who handled the first robbery said the suspect was a black man wearing a yellow hoodie, a maroon hoodie, and a black puffy coat. was explained only.

A woman was robbed at gunpoint on the 2500 block in North Kesie on Sunday afternoon. She told police she fled in a red four-door car with a broken back window after three men took her purse and wallet at gunpoint. I received EMS treatment for facial injuries.

Chicago Police have not announced any arrests related to the robbery.
