Celine Dion cancels world tour while battling stiff-person syndrome

Celine Dion has officially canceled her Courage World Tour as she continues to battle a rare neurological condition.

Dion posted on Instagram, “I’m so sorry to let you down again.” “I am working hard to get my fitness back, but touring can be very difficult even when you are at 100%. As much as it hurts, it’s best to cancel everything now until I’m really ready to get back on stage again.

“I want you all to know that I am not giving up…and I can’t wait to see you again!”

Dion, 55, revealed in December that she has stiff-person syndrome, a condition that causes painful spasms and makes it difficult to walk.

Dion canceled North American tour dates in January, as well as European tour dates that were originally scheduled to resume in February.

The “My Heart Will Go On” artist unveiled new music in April with the title song “Love Again,” from the movie in which she also appears, but has yet to tour again. It will take at least 11 months.

Dion’s recent cancellations include: 42 performances all over Europe. The first was scheduled to take place in Amsterdam on 26 August 2023 and the last in London on 22 April 2024.
